LLC Ukrspecsystems will build a drone production plant in the United Kingdom. Mass production is planned to begin early next year, according to UK Defence Journal.

Ukraine’s largest drone manufacturer, Ukrspecsystems, has announced a £200 million (about €225.9 million) investment program in Eastern England.

The plan includes the construction of a new 11,000 m² plant in Mildenhall and the creation of a testing and training range in Elmsett. The project is expected to create up to 500 jobs and offer internship programs in the region.

According to official information, recruitment of British staff will begin by the end of 2025, and mass production of drones will launch in early 2026.

UK Minister for Defence Procurement Maria Eagle noted that London recognizes the advanced capabilities of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.

"By collaborating with Ukrainian companies like Ukrspecsystems we will benefit from access to cutting-edge designs and innovative technologies, strengthening the UK’s Armed Forces and those of our partners," she said.

Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems was established in 2014 and specializes in the development and production of unmanned aerial systems for military purposes. In particular, the company produces the Shark and PD-2 drones.

The company also provides a full range of training and operator support services.

Ukraine has also proposed an agreement with the United States to produce around 10 million drones annually.

In addition, French companies have expressed readiness to engage in drone production in Ukraine.
