Yermak and Rubio align Ukraine's peace stance ahead of key diplomatic moves

Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak held talks with US Secretary of State and acting national security advisor to the US president Marco Rubio, according to Yermak’s post.
"I informed him about active communication with partners, including during my meeting with US Vice President JD Vance. We coordinated our positions ahead of important diplomatic steps planned for this week," Yermak said.
He stressed that Ukraine’s priority is a just and lasting peace, which includes an unconditional ceasefire as a prerequisite for substantive negotiations. Yermak also emphasized increasing pressure on Russia to take real steps in this direction.
"I thanked President Donald Trump for his leadership in seeking to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, and the American people for their support and assistance. I also thank Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is doing a great deal to achieve a just peace," Yermak noted.
He also expressed gratitude to the US presidential special representative for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, for his unwavering support of Ukraine.
"We keep working. Peace through strength," Yermak concluded.
