Zelenskyy says Trump may shift Xi's view on Ukraine war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he believes US leader Donald Trump could change Chinese President Xi Jinping’s stance on the war in Ukraine, according to Clash Report.
"I think Trump can change Xi Jinping's attitude toward the war in Ukraine. We do not feel that China wants to end this war," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Fox News.
Zelenskyy in New York and China's influence on Russia
Zelenskyy is on a visit to New York together with the Ukrainian delegation to attend the UN General Assembly, the summit on the return of Ukrainian children, the Crimea Platform summit, and a series of other meetings.
Following his meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy also told journalists that "we don't see the wishes from China to end this war." He added that he did not know why Beijing was not interested.
Speaking earlier at a UN Security Council session on Ukraine, the president said that without China, Putin’s Russia was nothing, and that if Beijing wanted the war to end, it could force Moscow to halt the invasion.
Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Afterward, he suggested that China might join efforts to resolve the crisis and help bring the war to an end.
