Russia once again complains about 'unidentified UAVs': drones attacked substation near railway

Residents of Russia’s Krasnodar region reported an attack by unidentified drones overnight on Monday, September 1, according to ASTRA.
In particular, locals reported hearing several explosions in the region. Preliminary information also indicates that an electrical substation near the railway in Kropotkin caught fire following the UAV attack.
In March of this year, unidentified drones attacked the city of Kropotkin in Russia’s Krasnodar region. At the time, Russian sources reported a fire near a local oil refinery.
Strikes on Russian oil refineries
Ukraine’s Defense Forces regularly target Russian refineries that supply fuel to the Russian military. For example, last night unidentified drones struck an oil refinery in Krasnodar, where a fire broke out following a series of explosions.
On the night of August 28, drones also attacked the Kuibyshev refinery in Samara. That same day, a successful strike caused a fire at the Afipsky refinery in the Krasnodar region.
Earlier, on August 15, explosions were reported in Syzran, Samara region, where Russian sources complained of another drone attack on a refinery.
According to reports, drone strikes reduced Russia’s oil refining capacity by 21% in just the first two weeks of August.
