On the night of August 30, unidentified drones attacked the Russian city of Krasnodar. A fire broke out at the local oil refinery as a result of the strike, according to Russian Telegram channels.

According to the SHOT channel, powerful explosions were heard in the sky around 03:30 a.m.. Residents reported dozens of explosions and the activation of air defense systems.

Earlier, the sound of a drone flying nearby was heard, followed by a fire starting in one of the districts. Social media posts indicated that the oil refinery was burning.

The information was later officially confirmed.

"As a result of drone debris falling, one of the technological units at the Krasnodar oil refinery was damaged. A fire broke out at the impact site, covering an area of approximately 300 sq. m.," the regional operational headquarters reported.

According to preliminary reports, there are no casualties. The headquarters noted that refinery employees had been evacuated, and fire and rescue teams, as well as specialized and emergency services, were working at the site.

Due to the ongoing drone threat, Krasnodar residents were asked to stay indoors and avoid going outside.

Attacks in Krasnodar Krai

Previously, on August 7, Russians also reported explosions and fires in Krasnodar Krai, which damaged an oil refinery and a military facility.

On the night of August 24, partisan units ATESH set fire to a mobile communication tower in Krasnodar Krai.

Additionally, on August 28, drones attacked the Kuybyshev oil refinery in Samara, Russia, temporarily halting its operations.
