Unknown drones strike Russia's Krasnodar region: Oil refinery and military base in flames

On Thursday morning, August 7, Russians reported explosions and fires in Russia's Krasnodar Krai. They claim that unknown drones attacked an oil refinery and a military base, according to Russian Telegram channels.
As Oberezhnosti Novyny reports, at around 6 a.m. local time, a powerful explosion rocked the village of Afipsky. After that, eyewitnesses saw a column of black smoke near one of the local facilities.
According to preliminary information, unknown drones attacked the settlement, causing a fire at the Afipsky Oil Refinery. Corresponding footage is circulating on social media.
In addition, drones were flying toward Slavyansk-na-Kubani this morning. Russian Telegram channels write that after the attack, a fire broke out at military unit 61661.
There have been no official comments on any of the incidents.
Attacks by unknown drones on Russia
Russia's Volgograd region was also targeted by drones overnight. In the city of Surovikino, there were loud explosions, about 10 in total, followed by a fire at the local railway station.
Toward morning, the region's governor, Andrey Bocharov, confirmed the drone attacks, reporting that two railway stations were targeted by UAVs.
"At the Surovikino railway station, a fire broke out in the administrative building, which is being promptly extinguished by firefighting services. At the Maksim Gorky railway station, sappers are currently working with fragments of the destroyed UAV - there is no damage to facilities," said Bocharov.
