When will Trump lose patience with Russia? Pridential Office predicts deadline

Russia is accumulating resources and increasing the number of drone strikes on Ukrainian cities. These actions are gradually undermining the reputation of US President Donald Trump, said Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in a commentary to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
According to Podolyak, while Trump continues to say he is ready for negotiations and offers his strategy for peaceful settlement, these attempts are being neutralized by the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is trying to continue military escalation.
"Everything Trump says, that he is ready to negotiate, that he has proposed something, that his strategy is absolutely effective, Putin nullifies all of this," Podolyak emphasized.
He stated that these actions of Russia cannot go unanswered, and the US will ultimately be forced to change its strategy towards Russia. In particular, they will have to implement a concept of strong coercion towards Russia, which would include significant sanctions and an increase in Ukraine's military capabilities to deliver powerful strikes on Russian territory.
"Sooner or later, you have to come to a concrete understanding that you are being humiliated again and again. And it is only Russia that is doing it. And Russia is doing this deliberately. Putin is absolutely sincere in his efforts to make Trump, while wasting time, play the Russian game, but at the same time nullifying his reputation," Podolyak said.
He also noted that Trump’s patience is likely to run out in the coming months, specifying that the "psychological deadline" for the US will come in mid-to-late May. According to him, by that time, it will be obvious to everyone that Putin is humiliating Trump.
"It’s a matter of months. By mid-to-late May, it will already be clear that this is not working," he pointed out.
Podolyak predicts that the US will either change its strategy towards Russia or be forced to fully adapt to the Russian game, which is absolutely incompatible with Donald Trump’s psychological profile.
Negotiations in Saudi Arabia
Last month, the United States held several rounds of negotiations with Ukraine and Russia regarding a ceasefire.
During those discussions, the parties discussed the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. Ukraine immediately supported this proposal, but Russia did not provide a clear response. Moreover, Russia began to make its own demands for the ceasefire.
Recently, the Kremlin rejected the US peace initiatives, claiming they did not address Russia’s problems. Meanwhile, the Russian military intensified its attacks on Ukraine, using drones and missiles.
Additionally, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington does not want negotiations without progress and did not rule out the imposition of new sanctions against Russia.
