Moscow rejects Trump's proposals for ending war against Ukraine

Russia considers the proposals of US President Donald Trump for ending the war against Ukraine unacceptable. They allegedly do not address the "issues" of Moscow, states Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, according to The Moscow Times.
Ryabkov complained that Trump allegedly did not "send a signal" to Kyiv about the need to end the war. The Americans are "only trying" to find a scheme that would first lead to a ceasefire.
"Then (the US wants - ed.) to move on to some other models and schemes, which, as far as one can tell, currently do not accommodate our main demand, namely resolving the issues related to the root causes of this conflict," the official from the aggressor state added.
He stated that Moscow allegedly "takes seriously" the US proposals for ending the war, but "cannot accept them as they are."
"We definitely have a deeply and carefully thought-out set of our own priorities and approaches to this issue, which has been worked out, including by our negotiating team during the recent talks with the Americans in Riyadh," Ryabkov added.
US proposals
In March, the US proposed a 30-day full ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky immediately agreed to this initiative, while Russian President Vladimir Putin began setting conditions.
In particular, the dictator wants all Western countries to stop providing military aid to Ukraine during the ceasefire.
Without additional conditions, Russia agreed only to a mutual halt of strikes on energy facilities. However, the Russian troops have not adhered to the agreements – they have already attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure multiple times during the week-long ceasefire.
