Ukraine resumes strikes on Russian oil refineries - Ukrainian expert

Judging by recent Defense Forces attacks on Russian territory, Ukraine has returned to the strategy of targeting and destroying Russian oil refineries, stated military expert Ivan Stupak in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
"Regarding Krasnozavodsk, there is a chemical enterprise located there. It’s huge, very important for the region, produces explosives, components for explosives, and generally works for the Russian military-industrial complex," Stupak said.
He reminded that earlier this year, there had already been a strike in that area, but the Ukrainian drone failed to detonate.
"There were several explosions. No major detonation was recorded, but I hope that at least part of the personnel were killed or injured, or that the production facilities were damaged," the expert said.
He added that Ukraine is resuming strikes on the Ilsky Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar region.
"This strike (on July 7 - ed.), judging by the lack of photos and video footage, was likely not very successful, as there was no fire or explosions. But Ukraine, it seems, has returned to this strategy of destroying Russian oil refineries," Stupak noted.
Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries
On July 7, Ukrainian long-range drones struck the Ilsky Oil Refinery named after A.A. Shamar, located in Russia’s Krasnodar region.
According to sources, the attack hit one of the facility’s processing units. The strike caused a fire and halted part of the refinery's production processes.
In addition, during the night of July 7, Ukrainian defenders attacked the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant, where Russia produces warheads for Shahed kamikaze drones.
