Russia is preparing new ballistic missile strikes on Ukraine, prompting an urgent need for additional air defense capabilities to intercept the incoming missiles, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We now have intel about the Russians preparing new ballistic missile attacks. We need the capabilities to shoot down this Russian evil," he said.
The president emphasized that Ukraine is already awaiting decisions from international partners on strengthening its air defenses.
The head of state also thanked everyone who is genuinely helping Ukraine.
As recently reported, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commented on the Kremlin's attempts to lure President Zelenskyy to Moscow for talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
According to Sybiha, Ukraine should not take such invitations seriously.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues its diplomatic efforts with international partners to achieve a just peace.
Zelenskyy previously said Ukraine was waiting for the United States to confirm a specific date for a trilateral meeting to end the war.
Peace talks involving Ukraine's partners are expected in early November.
