Yesterday, on March 29, Russian forces launched Shahed drone strikes on Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, the number of casualties has increased to 55, reports Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian president reported that he had a phone conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. During the call, he provided details about the ongoing Russian attacks. Zelenskyy also shared what is known about yesterday's strikes on Kharkiv.

"I informed about the ongoing Russian strikes. The day before, there was a brutal attack on Kharkiv. Russian Shaheds – one of them even damaged a hospital building, along with residential homes and regular civilian infrastructure," said the president.

Zelenskyy confirmed that two people were killed and more than fifty were injured in Kharkiv as a result of this attack.

"Overall, 55 people were affected by the strike on Kharkiv, including five children. Everyone received assistance. Unfortunately, two people died. My condolences to their families and loved ones," the president said.

The President of Ukraine added that today, enemy strikes and shelling continued. The Cherkasy, Kherson, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions, as well as the city of Zaporizhzhia, came under attack.

"Today, unfortunately, there have already been more strikes and shelling. Cherkasy region – drone attacks. Kherson region – artillery and drone drops on buildings and people. Donetsk region – guided bombs, drones, artillery. Zaporizhzhia – drones. Dnipropetrovsk region – guided bombs and drones. Sumy region – unfortunately, bombings and drones. Kharkiv region – strikes from guided bombs," Zelenskyy summarized.

Russian attack on Kharkiv, March 29

This morning, on March 30, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov informed that two people were killed in the attack, and the number of the injured rose to 35. He also mentioned that damage was reported in two districts.

He also clarified that the enemy used seven Shaheds for the attack. Residential buildings, a hospital, and other structures were damaged.

Additionally, in the evening, the hospital's Facebook page posted an update that the medical facility had resumed surgeries that day. The update also mentioned that among the victims were patients and staff.

We also reported that the National Police of Ukraine showed footage of officers rescuing people during the Shahed attack on Kharkiv.
