Ukraine still hopes to receive long-range Taurus cruise missiles from Germany and is doing everything possible to achieve this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said while speaking with journalists.

According to the president, the issue of supplying Taurus missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces remains on the agenda.

Moreover, Zelenskyy said he discussed the issue with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during his visit to Kyiv on October 4.

"I can tell you why this is so important. It’s like with sanctions. It’s the same with weapons. It doesn't matter whether we have the same or a similar system, or not. It doesn't matter. Ukraine needs all the support. Just as Ukraine must share all its experience with Europe and other countries that support us. Because they support us, we have to share. Because everyone must be ready," Zelenskyy stressed.

As the president explained, Ukraine must share all the experience and technologies it has gained during the war with its allies if it wants to regularly receive military assistance.

"The biggest shortage is an anti-ballistic system. The same applies to Taurus. It’s a signal. Yes, it strengthens us, but most importantly, it means we are all partners, real partners,” Zelenskyy said.

The president added that he does not intend to give up and will continue negotiations on supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine.

Earlier, the president revealed Russia’s stockpile of ballistic missiles.

Zelenskyy also said that Putin is deliberately escalating the situation and raising the stakes ahead of talks with the United States.
