Russia has around 700 ballistic missiles and several thousand other missiles in reserve. At the same time, it continues to produce more than 100 new missiles every month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a joint briefing with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Kyiv.
According to the president, Ukrainian intelligence estimates that Russia’s defense industry produces around 130-140 ballistic missiles every month.
Ukraine and its partners are working to limit these Russian capabilities.
"We have to fight this, and we are. These are the places where they are produced, our sanctions, as well as the sanctions imposed by the European Union and the United States. We are asking and pressuring the European Union and other countries that have the authority and influence over supply chains for some of the components used in these missiles to reduce their production," Zelenskyy stressed.
In addition, Ukrainian forces continue to locate and strike Russian storage sites for drones and missile weapons.
Ukraine continues to systematically strengthen its air defenses against the latest weapons used by Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously revealed details about the deployment of interceptors for jet-powered Shaheds and explained what stage the development of systems to counter Russian drones has reached.
At the same time, the security situation remains tense. Amid statements about possible attacks on Russian oil refineries, Moscow once again resorted to threats, with Russia threatening to intensify its strikes on Ukraine.
