On Monday, December 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to Paris for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, reports Sky News.

According to the French presidential office, Zelenskyy will visit Paris after the weekend. At the meeting, he plans to consult with Macron on the conditions for a "just and durable peace."

"The visit would come exactly two weeks after Zelenskyy's last Paris trip," Sky News noted.

US peace plan

In November, the US presented Ukraine with a new peace plan aimed at ending the war. The document contained 28 points, but many of its provisions were favorable to Russia.

On Sunday, November 23, US, Ukrainian, and European delegations met in Geneva to finalize the plan and make it more advantageous for Kyiv. Media reports indicated the plan was reduced from 28 to 19 points, with final provisions to be approved at a meeting between the leaders of the US and Ukraine.

RBC-Ukraine reported that the parties agreed on most of the plan's provisions, including some disputed points, such as the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the format for prisoner exchanges, and the return of convicted individuals.

Today, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, along with the Ukrainian team, is already on the way to the US to further finalize the document. The goal is to "swiftly and substantively work out the steps needed to end the war."

Separately, this week, US President Donald Trump announced that he is sending his Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to Moscow. He is expected to be there next week to discuss the peace plan as well.
