Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that peace cannot be established in a single day or even within an hour. The Ukrainian leader described this reality during a plenary session, emphasizing that the process of achieving peace is long and complex.
Zelenskyy stated that when United States Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg was in Ukraine, he handed him and US President Donald Trump a document listing all ceasefire agreements that Russia had broken, along with specific dates.
He emphasized that peace could be the result of balanced diplomacy and clear security guarantees.
Meanwhile, Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, stated that his country would not cease hostilities against Ukraine during the negotiations.
Additionally, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for immediate action to end the conflict in Ukraine, stressing the need to achieve a stable peace.
