"The stronger the Ukrainian air defense, the fewer Russian devils there will be in our sky," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to the President's Telegram.

"Christmas Eve during the war. Our soldiers shot down not only nearly 30 'Shahids' and several missiles but also two Russian Su aircraft," wrote Zelenskyy.

He reminded me that Russian terrorists lost five aircraft in just one week.

"This Christmas sets the right mood for next year - the mood of our capabilities. Capabilities in negotiations with partners. Capabilities in strengthening our air shield. Capabilities in defending our home from Russian terrorists. The stronger our air defense, the fewer Russian devils there will be in our sky and on our land," emphasized the President.

The head of state thanked all Ukrainian soldiers for their accuracy and strength.

"Thank you to everyone who, on Christmas and weekdays, takes care of the defense of our state, which withstands enemy attacks and shows resilience, whether they are in the east and south or on the borders of our country, who are in combat and on positions, who saves and treats people. All our emergency services. Everyone who helps. Thank you all!" added Zelenskyy.

Shot down Russian aircraft

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a Russian Su-34 bomber and Su-30 fighter on December 24.

It is worth noting that this is the second significant success of the air defense forces recently. The Commander of the Air Forces, Mykola Oleshchuk, announced on December 22 that the Ukrainian military shot down three Russian Su-34 aircraft on the southern front.
