Zelenskyy talks about Biden's promise on weapons
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, en route to Brussels, shared details of his conversation with his American counterpart, Joe Biden. According to Zelenskyy, the US President promised that new military aid packages for Ukraine would be delivered soon.
"We also discussed our upcoming packages. President Biden gave me his word that the packages will be implemented shortly. We talked about long-range weapons. We talked about Ramstein, a meeting scheduled for a few weeks from now," Zelenskyy said.
US assistance to Ukraine
On Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with US President Joe Biden. It was also announced yesterday that the United States will provide another military aid package to Ukraine, valued at $425 million.
The package includes additional air defense reinforcements, air-to-surface missiles, armored vehicles, and artillery ammunition, among other things. The White House also assured that Kyiv will receive more weapons in the coming months.
This includes hundreds of air defense interceptors, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery systems, ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers, and thousands of additional armored vehicles.
Furthermore, it has been revealed when the next Ramstein meeting of Ukraine's allies on defense support will take place. The leaders’ meeting is scheduled for November.
