Talks with Trump, meeting in New York

The head of state said he held an important conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which they discussed a wide range of issues.

The main outcome was an agreement to hold an in-person meeting in New York.

The president emphasized that the meeting "could change a lot," noting positive diplomatic momentum.

"The peace track is our number one priority," Zelenskyy said.

US team visit, security initiatives

The president also highlighted the importance of a recent visit to Kyiv by US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

During their stay in Ukraine, the sides discussed the situation on the ground in detail.

The Ukrainian and US teams are now working together on specific proposals.

These include de-escalation steps, fundamental energy security issues, food security, and the protection of civilians.

The Ukrainian side said it is ready to implement serious practical solutions in these areas.

Zelenskyy also thanked the United States for signing the Lindsey Graham Act, emphasizing the shared position on the need to achieve peace.
