Zelenskyy slams Fox News: stop airing Moscow's service, pressure Russia instead

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram criticized the American TV channel Fox News for its broadcast on the night of April 20. The channel aired a religious service from Moscow, and Kyiv was labeled as "Russian."
"It is worth not broadcasting services from Moscow, but putting pressure on Moscow to truly agree to a full ceasefire and maintain it for at least 30 days after Easter to give diplomacy a chance," emphasized the President.
Zelenskyy also thanked all the media and bloggers who are reporting the truth about the so-called Easter ceasefire announced by Russia, which Russia itself has violated.
Fox News scandal
On the night of April 20, the American TV channel Fox News, which is aligned with the Republican Party, broadcast a religious service from the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin were present.
In a smaller "window," Fox News also aired a service from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine at the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv. However, Kyiv was labeled as "Russian" in the caption. The mistake was corrected within a few minutes.
Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi responded to the Fox News scandal, demanding an apology from the channel.
"If this was a mistake rather than a deliberate political statement, there should be an apology and an investigation into who made the mistake," Tykhyi wrote on X.
