President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the tasks for diplomats for the next year. The main goal is to strengthen Ukraine's position.

He noted that next year will be a key year for Ukraine to establish a just peace. Zelenskyy reminded that in 2025, the US administration will change, and elections will be held in some key countries, including Germany and Poland.

The President also called for attention to be paid to the Middle East, the Gulf region, North Africa, the Sahel, Latin America, India, China, and other Asian countries.

The Head of State said that there are hundreds of areas of relations in the world in which Ukraine needs a real, concrete, tangible result.

“And this is your job. To be in all the necessary offices, to be in the media, to communicate with all the people necessary for Ukraine, to be understood so that Ukraine has the necessary result. I thank all those who work this way, who work not just for fatigue at the end of the day, or for the gratitude of their supervisor, not from 9 to 18 o'clock, but for the result for Ukraine,” he said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that a separate area of diplomats' work is the European Union and NATO. Another task is to work on freezing and confiscating Russia's assets.

Reshuffle of ambassadors

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reshuffled Ukrainian ambassadors. The ambassadors to Slovenia, Lithuania, Japan, and China lost their positions.

The head of state also dismissed Sergiy Kyslytsya, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

Zelenskyy appointed a number of ambassadors, including heads of diplomatic missions to Slovenia, Lithuania, and Japan, and representatives to international organizations. In particular, the well-known “professor from the trenches” Fedir Shandor became the ambassador to Hungary.
