President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that after today's meeting in the United States, the Ukrainian team will continue talks with the American side tomorrow on ending the war.

"Our team is currently in the United States, and a meeting already took place today. Representing the American side were Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. It is important for all of us in the world that diplomacy continues and that we are working to end this war – Russia's war against Ukraine. No one wants this war. The teams will continue discussions tomorrow," the president said.

He noted that the most important issue is understanding how ready the Russian side truly is to end the war, and whether it is prepared to do so honestly and in good faith.

"Especially now, when the geopolitical tensions have only increased due to the situation around Iran. A more detailed report from our team will follow," Ukraine's leader concluded.

Peace process resumes

Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine, the United States, and Russia have held three rounds of peace talks. A fourth round was expected in early March but was postponed due to the conflict in the Middle East.

In recent days, Ukraine and Russia officially confirmed that talks are currently on hold. The sides have not abandoned them, but meetings are being delayed at the United States' request.

Now, the parties appear to be moving toward resuming the peace process. Today, on March 21, a Ukrainian delegation arrived in Miami, and earlier, Zelenskyy said the meeting would focus on three key issues.

According to him, these include setting a date for a new trilateral meeting, continuing contacts with the United States amid the suspension of some US sanctions on Russia's energy sector, and further work on documents related to ending the war, security guarantees, and Ukraine's reconstruction.
