Zelenskyy says Ukraine needs new impetus in arms supplies
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says in the evening address that Ukraine's allies are now delivering weapons to Ukraine promptly. And now the supply needs a new impetus.
He says that today he had been briefed on the situation at the front by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi. He will have another conversation with him in the evening.
The general's report concerned the situation in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, as well as the continuation of the Kursk operation.
As Zelenskyy emphasizes, Ukraine appreciates that its partners are now implementing the promised support packages. This is happening in a timely manner.
“And it is important that the scale of what is announced aligns with our agreements and objective needs. We need a new impetus for defense supplies. And in December, we must make it happen,” the President says.
New aid packages from United States
The United States has recently begun to actively announce new military aid packages for Ukraine. This is because the term of office of US President Joe Biden and his administration is coming to an end, so they plan to use all the funds allocated to help Ukraine before Donald Trump is inaugurated.
In particular, on November 20, the Pentagon announced a package of military aid to Ukraine, which included $275 million worth of weapons.
After that, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre assured that the US would continue to increase its assistance to Ukraine.
