Zelenskyy says Ukraine has agreed on new Patriot missile package

"We reached an agreement today — I won't say with whom — on a package of missiles for Patriot systems. This is an important decision," the head of state stressed.
Earlier, at a briefing in New York, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was collecting about 100 missiles, receiving one or two at a time directly from world leaders. According to the president, the only country that could provide large-scale assistance is the United States.
It should be noted that the US has not yet approved a license allowing Ukraine to produce Patriot missiles. The State Department said diplomatic talks on the matter are ongoing.
In addition, Zelenskyy said that US company Raytheon, which manufactures missiles for Patriot systems, is ready to organize missile production directly in Ukraine. The president said Kyiv had asked Washington to speed up the process.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that, according to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Berlin is capable of helping address the shortage of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems. He added that launching production in Europe would require official approval and a license from the US.
