Zelenskyy confirms meeting with Trump this Friday
Ukraine is preparing for talks with the US in the coming days. They will take place on Friday, February 28.
"I will meet with President Trump. It is important for me and for all of us in the world that US aid is not stopped. Strength is needed on the path to peace," said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
State Department prepares list of exceptions for partial unblocking of aid to Ukraine – Politico
US State Department officials are compiling a list of exceptions to the frozen aid to Ukraine. This could open access to certain types of economic and security support that have currently been suspended.
However, it is unclear whether an exception will be made for foreign military funding controlled by the State Department for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy announces one more agreement with US
Ukraine plans to sign another agreement with the United States following the rare earth metals deal. This new agreement will concern an investment fund.
"The next agreement will be more serious and complicated - it will be about a fund, and there will be some partnerships, money, etc. The next agreement will require ratification in the Ukrainian parliament, but I don’t know about the US Congress," Zelenskyy said.
Pro-Russian presidential candidate Georgescu detained in Romania
Dozens of searches are being conducted in Romania in connection with the case of crimes of public incitement and against the constitutional order. Former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu was also detained.
The group of Horatiu Potra, who is a close associate of the pro-Russian politician Georgescu, was the target of law enforcement actions.
