The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, met with the current Chairperson of the OSCE, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Malta, Ian Borg. The parties discussed the implementation of President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and the launch of the International Coalition for the return of Ukrainian children, according to the press service of the Office of the President.

During the meeting, Yermak expressed gratitude to Malta for its active support of steps aimed at implementing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula. He highly praised the third meeting of advisors on national security and foreign policy regarding the implementation of principles for restoring peace in Ukraine, which took place in Malta at the end of October 2023.

According to the head of the Office of the President, the meeting, attended by representatives of 66 countries and international organizations, was not only productive but also contributed to the growing number of countries expressing readiness to join efforts on the Peace Formula.

Yermak also thanked Borg and all of Malta for supporting the launch of the International Coalition for the return of Ukrainian children. The Head of the Office of the President expressed hope that Malta's chairmanship in the OSCE would contribute to intensifying the process of returning Ukrainian children illegally deported to Russia.

Andriy Yermak expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between the two states and Malta's participation in the Global Peace Summit.

Visit of the OSCE Chairperson to Ukraine

On Friday, February 2nd, the OSCE Chairperson, Ian Borg, arrived in Kyiv for an official visit.

He announced his visit last week, emphasizing that the trip is intended to demonstrate "unwavering support."

Borg promised that during his chairmanship, he would demand the unconditional and immediate withdrawal of Russia from the entire territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children

On February 2nd, Ukraine and Canada launched the work of the international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children. Andriy Yermak, along with the Head of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Joly, inaugurated the operation. During the meeting in Kyiv, they presented the framework document for their activities.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also discussed the new coalition for the return of Ukrainian children with the OSCE Chairperson, Ian Borg.
