Zelenskyy's Office explains reason behind China's absence at Peace Formula meeting
A Chinese representative was unable to attend the summit on Ukraine in Malta due to scheduling conflicts, according to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Ihor Zhovkva.
"China's Special Representative, Li Hui, participated in the preliminary meeting regarding the Peace Formula in Jeddah. However, this time, in Malta, he was unable to attend," he stated.
Zhovkva added that there was a corresponding response from the Chinese side, indicating that the meeting with Li Hui's personal participation could not take place due to scheduling conflicts.
He specifically emphasized that the absence of the Chinese representative would not have a negative impact on the continuation of work on the Peace Formula.
Ukraine seeks China's assistance in the return of deported children
The Deputy Head of the Office of the President mentioned that Ukraine was trying to involve China in the effort to repatriate all Ukrainian captives and deported children to Ukraine.
Zhovkva also mentioned that China's Ambassador to Ukraine, Fan Xianjun, had participated several times in the discussions regarding the points of the Peace Formula.
Therefore, Ukraine continues to rely on China's continued participation in similar initiatives.
