Zelenskyy's Office announces Macron's visit to Ukraine 'in near future'
The Office of the President expects that the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Ukraine will take place "in the near future," according to a statement by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Sybiha.
He has announced that Macron will come to Ukraine "to make those blocks that are fixed in the security agreement even more concrete."
According to Sybiha, the expectations for the visit are "very high."
"It will be very important for strengthening bilateral relations, as well as security in Europe," said the Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
Macron's visit to Ukraine was postponed several times and was initially planned for February, then rescheduled for mid-March.
On February 16 in Paris, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of France Emmanuel Macron signed a security agreement that will be in effect for 10 years.
Earlier, Macron suggested that Western countries could send their troops to Ukraine. At the same time, he clarified that there was no consensus on this issue.
There have been reports in the media that France is assembling an alliance of countries willing to send Western troops to Ukraine.
