Ukrainian forces are holding their positions on the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk directions, as well as in Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The defense forces are preparing new moves on the front and continue striking Russian military and energy targets in the rear, according to a statement from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The president said that today he reviewed reports from the military and the Security Service.

"The situation on the front, including the Pokrovsk direction, neighboring areas, also Kupiansk, the border areas of Kharkiv and Sumy regions, and Zaporizhzhia region. We are holding the line, and I am grateful to each of our units for their resilience. We are preparing certain moves on the front and responding to every Russian strike," he said.

Zelenskyy also noted that he spoke with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, including regarding long-range operations.

"There is an increase both in range and accuracy of our long-range strikes against Russia. Practically every day or two, Russian oil refining facilities are hit. And this is working to bring Russia back to reality," the president explained.

Zelenskyy also recognized the achievements of troops over the past weeks from:

  • the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard

  • the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade

"Both brigades are defeating the occupiers on the Kupiansk direction. There are also results from the 127th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, units of the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Military Law Enforcement Service. Thank you to all of you, warriors!" the head of state concluded.
