Zelenskyy reveals Ukraine's drone base was hidden next to Russian FSB HQ

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the "office" of the Ukrainian special operation on Russian territory was established literally next to the regional headquarters of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
"Thank you to the Security Service of Ukraine, personally to General Vasyl Malyuk (Head of the SBU -ed.), and also to everyone who was involved in the operation. The operation was prepared for over a year and a half. Planning, organization, and all details were perfectly prepared," the president noted.
He said this special operation can confidently be called absolutely unique.
"The most interesting — and this can already be said publicly — the 'office' of our operation on Russian territory was located directly next to the FSB headquarters of Russia in one of their regions," Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to him, the operation used 117 drones and an equivalent number of drone operators.
"Thirty-four percent of strategic cruise missile carriers at their home airfields were hit. Our people operated across different Russian regions — in three time zones," he added.
Zelenskyy also confirmed that people involved in preparing the operation were evacuated from Russian territory before the operation.
"They are safe now — those who helped us," he said.
It is worth noting that earlier sources in the SBU also told RBC-Ukraine that those who participated in this special operation have long been in Ukraine.
Additionally, the source warned that even if the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin publicly detains someone, it will be just another staged performance for the domestic audience.
As expected, the Russian Ministry of Defense did confirm that “some participants in the attacks have been detained.” For more details on the Russian Defense Ministry's response to the attack, read RBC-Ukraine's report.
Special operation "Spiderweb"
On Sunday, June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted an unprecedented large-scale operation to destroy Russia's strategic aviation deep behind enemy lines.
As a result of the operation today, 41 Russian strategic aviation aircraft were hit. The SBU targeted four Russian military airfields simultaneously. The airfields Belaya, Dyagilevo, Olenya, and Ivanovo were specifically hit.
