In one week, Russia launched hundreds of strikes on Ukraine. Specifically, the occupiers fired nearly 50 missiles in seven days, according to a post on Telegram by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, Russia attacks Ukraine daily with drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

"This week, there were hundreds of strikes on our cities and communities: nearly 50 missiles, around 660 attack drones, and more than 760 guided aerial bombs were launched by the enemy against our people," he said.

The president emphasized that Russia will not stop on its own, and therefore the world must force it to end this brutal and unprovoked aggression.

"It is essential to strengthen our defense. We need better protection. Air defense, long-range weapons, and sanctions pressure. All of this helps protect lives here in Ukraine. I thank everyone in the world who understands the importance of this and continues to believe in our country and support us," Zelenskyy noted.

Russian attacks on Ukraine

Russian forces attack Ukraine daily and nightly with various types of weaponry. Just this week, the Russians struck a high-rise building in Sumy, killing 10 people and injuring more than 10 others.

Additionally, the occupiers struck a residential building in Poltava on February 1. The attack destroyed an entire stairwell. The rescue operation is still ongoing, and the death toll in Poltava from the Russian shelling has risen to 14.

On the same day, the Russians hit the Kholodnohirskyi district in Kharkiv with a drone. One person was killed, and four others were injured.
