Ukraine is continuing work on its domestic ballistic missile program, and the first results can already be considered genuinely successful, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, according to BFMTV.

"We are also working on ballistic missiles. We already have good results. We are not saying much about them because we are still testing them," the Ukrainian leader stressed.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine's priority in this matter is self-defense. In addition, it is effectively forced to protect not only itself but also its allies in Europe.

The head of state believes that Ukraine has become a kind of "wall" between Russia and the free world.

Zelenskyy also added that the country has entered the fifth year of the war with the Russian forces much stronger than ever before. This is because it has begun mass production of its own drones and missiles.

"Right now, we have the strongest army, or one of the strongest in the world, but it is facing the toughest conditions. We are now producing everything: drones, artillery, armored vehicles, 155-mm guns," the president stressed.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia has indeed lost the initiative on the battlefield. Despite this, it has not yet lost the war, so Ukraine still has a lot of work ahead.

"They lost 150,000 troops over 50 kilometers (...) That is what a real war looks like," the Ukrainian leader added.

In a separate development, it also became known who struck the last major gasoline-producing oil refinery in Russia.
