Zelenskyy reveals number of Ukrainians killed and injured in Russian missile attack
During the Russian morning missile attack on Ukraine on January 23, six Ukrainians were killed, and 78 others sustained injuries, according to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The rescue operation is ongoing after another Russian attack against our cities and people – a deliberate terror targeting ordinary residential buildings in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad. Unfortunately, there are casualties and fatalities," he wrote, accompanying the statement with photos of the aftermath of the shelling.
According to his information, 22 people have already been reported injured due to the enemy shelling in Kyiv. In Kharkiv, due to the terrorist attack, five people were reportedly killed, and 51 people, including four children, were injured. Twenty-seven people were rescued from under the rubble. Zelenskyy also reported the death of one person in Pavlohrad due to the Russian terror.
Russian missile attack on January 23
Russian army carried out an attack on Ukraine during the night and morning of January 23, using cruise, ballistic, aviation, and anti-aircraft guided missiles. Air defense forces managed to destroy 21 out of 41 missiles.
Kyiv, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and other cities were under attack. Casualties and fatalities are reported, as well as fires and destruction in the cities.
