Zelenskyy reveals how many Russian jet-powered drones Ukraine intercepts

"The overall drone interception rate today is 70%. This includes both conventional and jet-powered Shaheds, but as for jet-powered drones, unfortunately, the rate is much lower than needed — 57%," the head of state said.
The president noted that Ukrainian forces are actively testing new interceptors to counter this threat.
"There are combat groups already using them, but of course, some details still need to be refined to ensure sufficient effectiveness and scale. We are speeding up the developers," Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, on the morning of September 28, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones. The strikes damaged a number of sites in the Obolonskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital, including a gas station and an office building.
In addition, a Russian drone hit the building of Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences in central Kyiv.
Zelenskyy said rescue operations, firefighting and a search for people who might have been inside the building had begun at the site of the strike. The head of state also said Russia would face a response for the attack.
It should be noted that an aide to former National Security and Defense Council Secretary Volodymyr Horbulin was killed in the strike on the National Academy of Sciences building. Horbulin said he was at work during the attack and suffered a minor injury.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that Russian forces struck the Dobrobut medical center in Kyiv. Several people were injured in the attack, and the facility will temporarily suspend operations.
