The Russian drone that attacked the sarcophagus at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant was flying at an altitude of 85 meters. It was not detected by radar, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says while speaking to journalists at the Munich Security Conference.
According to him, a Russian drone attacked the sarcophagus that covers the Chornobyl unit, which is very dangerous in itself. Zelenskyy recalled that 40 countries worked on the construction of the sarcophagus, and it was safe.
“There was a drone strike today, and in the morning, almost at night, we talked to the Commander-in-Chief, to the Air Force. Interestingly, the drone was flying at an altitude of 85 meters. I think it's important to understand that radar cannot see this height,” Zelenskyy says.
