Media reports suggest that the US and its partners have authorized Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes on Russian territory. However, strikes are not made with words — missiles will speak for themselves, says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.

Zelenskyy reminded that he had presented the Victory Plan to Ukraine's partners, highlighting long-range capabilities as one of its key points.

"Today, there’s much talk in the media about us receiving approval for corresponding actions. But strikes are not carried out with words. Such things are not announced. Missiles will speak for themselves. Certainly. Glory to Ukraine!" the president emphasized.

US approval for long-range strikes

Earlier today, Western media reported that US President Joe Biden's administration has authorized Ukraine to use American-provided weapons for strikes on Russian territory.

Following the US, France and Britain also approved long-range strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian Federation territory. More details can be found in the RBC-Ukraine report.

RBC-Ukraine previously reported that Ukraine could launch ATACMS missile strikes on Russia in the coming days.

It is worth noting that Ukraine has repeatedly requested permission from the US and its partners over recent months to use their weaponry for strikes on Russian military targets located far from Ukraine's borders. However, Washington had previously taken a cautious stance on these requests.

Two months before Donald Trump's inauguration, President Biden decided to agree to Ukraine's request.
