Zelenskyy responds to rumors of Trump-Putin conversation

Information about US President Donald Trump's communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin requires confirmation. It is still unclear whether it is true, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference with European Investment Bank President Nadia Calviño.
The head of state noted that Ukrainian and American officials are working on organizing his meeting with Trump. The US President himself mentioned it, so "there is no secret about it." The only question is when such a meeting will take place.
"And as for them (Trump and Putin – ed.) communicating – well, we'll see who, how, and if it’s true," Zelenskyy added.
Rumors about Trump’s talks with Putin
Earlier, the American tabloid New York Post reported that US President Donald Trump claimed to have held talks with Vladimir Putin.
However, the American leader refused to specify how many times he had communicated with the Kremlin head.
For his part, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov neither confirmed nor denied such negotiations.
It’s worth noting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of meeting with Trump before the US leader meets with Putin.
