Zelenskyy reports Russia's new worst yet night attack

Last night, Russia set one of its insane anti-records by attacking hundreds of targets in Ukraine. More than 570 strike drones and dozens of cruise missiles were used, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Last night, the Russian army set one of its insane anti-records. They targeted civilian infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, and our people," Zelenskyy says.
The President noted that the Russians used several cruise missiles against an American enterprise in Zakarpattia. According to him, it was an ordinary civilian enterprise, an American investment.
"It was a regular civilian business, supported by American investment, producing everyday items like coffee machines. And yet, it was also a target for the Russians. This is very telling. The fire at the facility is still being extinguished. As of now, 15 people have been reported injured in the strike – all have received the necessary assistance," he explains.
Zelenskyy noted that rescuers are working in many other regions, from Zaporizhzhia to Volyn. In total, Russia struck Ukraine during the night with:
- 574 strike drones,
- 40 missiles.
"A significant portion was intercepted, but unfortunately, not all," he says.
At the same time, the Ukrainian President emphasized that this time the Russians struck as if nothing had changed at all.
"And the Russians carried out this attack as if nothing has changed at all, as if there are no global efforts to stop this war. This requires a response. There is still no signal from Moscow that they truly intend to engage in substantive negotiations and end this war. Pressure is needed. Strong sanctions, strong tariffs. I thank everyone who is helping." the President concludes.
Massive Russian attack on Ukraine on night of August 21
On the night of August 21, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using Shahed-type strike drones, cruise missiles, and Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles in several regions.
Explosions were recorded not only in Kyiv but also in various regions of the country, underscoring the scale of the nighttime Russian attack.
Russia also struck civilian and strategic targets in Lviv and the Lviv region with kamikaze drones and missiles.
Russian missile strike was also recorded in Mukachevo in Zakarpattia, where one of the missiles hit a local enterprise. As of the morning, rescuers continued to deal with the aftermath of the incident, extinguishing fires and clearing up the aftermath of the explosions.
Local authorities warned residents of the region about possible air pollution as a result of the Russian night attack and urged them not to open windows to reduce health risks.
This attack was another major test for Ukraine's air defense. A report by RBC-Ukraine provides detailed information on how the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the massive strike, destroying Russian strike drones and missiles.
