Zelenskyy reports 'good news' and explains what happened near Dobropillia in Ukraine

In Sumy region, Ukrainian forces liberated six occupied settlements and reached the border in two locations. Meanwhile, near Dobropillia, Russian groups advanced several kilometers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a conversation with journalists.
"Sumy region. We had 18 points there – occupied villages or important locations. Six have been liberated. That means we are moving forward. This is good news. In two points, we reached the border with Russia. I think this is more or less positive," Zelenskyy stressed.
The president noted that in the morning he heard reports from the commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Apostol, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"We cleared another 900 meters in Sumy region near several points to the border. Zaporizhzhia region – we are holding positions," the president explained.
He also mentioned the situation in Luhansk region. Zelenskyy noted that he would not specify which units or exact locations, as actions are still ongoing, but according to him, Ukrainian troops advanced one kilometer deep into enemy positions.
Regarding the situation in the Kharkiv direction, the president commented briefly.
"Kharkiv direction – we are holding," he said.
What happened near Dobropillia
The most difficult situation, according to Zelenskyy, is currently in the direction of Kramatorsk.
"Dobropillia–Kramatorsk. What happened there? Groups of Russians advanced about 10 kilometers in several locations. All of them are without equipment, only weapons in their hands. Some have already been found – partly eliminated, partly taken prisoner. The others will also be found and destroyed in the near future. The purpose of this advance is clear to us," he stressed.
As the president explained, by August 15, the Russians want to create a certain information space ahead of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Trump.
"Especially in the American space, to show that Russia is moving forward, advancing, and Ukraine is losing," he noted.
Situation in Dobropillia
Earlier, DeepState reported that the Russian army had made significant gains in the Dobropillia area.
However, the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces Dnipro explained that the enemy constantly changes its tactics and methods of troop deployment. In addition, according to the military, the enemy also uses its numerical advantage and, despite heavy losses, tries to infiltrate in small groups past the first line of Ukrainian positions.
At present, the situation in this section of the front remains difficult.
