Zelenskyy receives draft of US peace plan and will discuss it with Trump
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially received a draft plan from the United States, which, according to the American side, could help advance diplomatic efforts.
"From the very first seconds of Russia’s invasion, Ukraine has sought peace, and we support all substantive proposals capable of bringing genuine peace closer. Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has supported President Trump’s proposals aimed at ending the bloodshed," the statement reads.
Ukrainian defense forces targets Ryazan oil refinery and Russian troop positions in Donetsk
On the night of November 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Ryazan oil refinery and other Russian aggressor targets, including a concentration of enemy troops in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military noted that the target was hit, and a fire broke out in the area of secondary oil refining installations. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
Russia hands over another 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers for identification
On November 20, Russian forces handed over another 1,000 bodies to the Ukrainian side — bodies which, according to the Russians, belong to fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Identification procedures will begin shortly, according to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
“Investigators of law enforcement agencies, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will soon carry out all necessary examinations and conduct the identification of the repatriated bodies,” the statement said.
Russia attacks Zaporizhzhia with drones: Explosion heard in city, fatalities reported
On the evening of Thursday, November 20, Russian forces attacked the Zaporizhzhia region and the city of Zaporizhzhia with kamikaze drones. An explosion occurred in the city, with fatalities and injured reported, according to a post by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"An explosion was heard in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia. Emergency services are inspecting the area. Preliminary reports indicate there are injured," Fedorov’s post reads.
