Ukraine has not reached an agreement with Russia to begin an energy ceasefire on October 11, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ukrainian leader was responding for the first time to US President Donald Trump's statement.
"[The announcement of a ceasefire – ed.] was news for me. But if Russians agree to an energy ceasefire, Ukraine will agree. If President Trump negotiated it with Putin, please tell us when the ceasefire begins. We are ready, and we will accept it," Zelenskyy emphasized.
On October 11, Trump once again announced an "energy ceasefire" between Ukraine and Russia and urged both sides not to violate it.
Earlier, Zelenskyy explained when Ukraine could halt strikes on Russian oil refineries.
In addition, the president set a clear condition for holding elections, and Russian President Vladimir Putin must meet it.
