Zelenskyy proposes creating new format for meeting of Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting today with military and security officials. Among other topics, they discussed a new format for the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, according to the president's Telegram channel.
The president reported that today, October 25, he held a lengthy meeting. Among those present were military officials, intelligence representatives, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, government officials, and members of the President's Office.
"The key issues are what is currently limiting Ukraine's capabilities and how we can address these challenges. We plan to involve civil society in developing the internal Victory Plan. I instructed to create a technological format for the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The highest priority is drones, of course. This includes drones that can intercept Shaheds and other strike UAVs," Zelenskyy emphasized.
At the same time, the head of state noted that he tasked the Defense Intelligence and the Security Service of Ukraine to focus particularly on the issue of releasing civilians from Russian captivity.
"Currently, the results in this area are insufficient. We also addressed some legislative changes that are needed, as well as sanctions policy and our diplomacy. In a few weeks, I will review the results," he remarked.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly increased the production of various types of drones.
Both state and private companies are engaged in production.
Recently, Zelenskyy announced a significant package from the US for the production of Ukrainian drones.
According to the president, Ukraine can produce 4 million drones annually.
