Zelenskyy announces major US aid package for Ukrainian drone production

The United States is preparing another aid package for Ukraine, which will be aimed at supporting the production of Ukrainian drones, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Another package is being prepared – funding for the production of Ukrainian drones, amounting to $800 million. Ukraine is grateful for this support. We need to ensure that despite any political threats around the world, Ukraine can consistently defend its sovereignty and independence. This will definitely happen," Zelenskyy said.
During his visit to Kyiv today, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that Ukraine produces some of the best drones in the world. This is not the first time Austin has spoken positively about Ukraine’s long-range drones.
Recently, he highlighted that Ukrainian drones have already proven their precision and effectiveness.
Drone production in Ukraine
Since the start of the full-scale war, the production of various types of drones in Ukraine has significantly increased. Both state-owned and private companies are involved in production. In Ukraine, not only quadcopters but also combat, reconnaissance, and maritime drones are being produced.
According to President Zelenskyy, Ukraine can produce 4 million drones per year.
