At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians used Molotov cocktails to defend against the occupiers' equipment. However, now Ukraine produces some of the best drones in the world, states US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during a meeting with Ukrainian students.

He reminded that during the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian soldiers organized ambushes against Russian tanks in the Kyiv region with Molotov cocktails in hand. Ordinary citizens also participated in these ambushes.

The US Secretary of Defense noted that at the bustling Ukrainian defense industry base, Ukrainian factories are currently producing some of the best drones in the world. He also mentioned that experienced Ukrainian air defense forces are protecting soldiers and families and highlighted the incredible skill demonstrated by Ukrainian soldiers.

He also explained why America continues to support Ukraine in the war.

Austin clarified that Ukraine is important to US security for four obvious reasons: Putin's war threatens European security, challenges NATO allies, attacks shared values, and constitutes a frontal assault on the rules-based international order that guarantees the security of everyone.

Just a few days ago, the US Secretary of Defense also spoke about long-range Ukrainian drones.

According to him, these drones have already proven their accuracy and effectiveness. They are also much cheaper than the long-range missiles produced by Western countries.
