Since the beginning of September, Russia has launched over 1,300 drones at Ukraine. In addition, the Russian army dropped hundreds of guided bombs and fired dozens of missiles, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.

"Since the beginning of September, Russia has used over 1,300 strike drones, nearly 900 guided aerial bombs, and up to fifty missiles of various types against Ukraine," he noted.

Last night, there were again enemy strikes on civilian infrastructure. Emergency services are working at the impact sites.

During the first week of September, the enemy carried out strikes on the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, and Lviv regions. Explosions were reported in almost all regions of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia continues to prolong the war and is trying to turn diplomacy into an outright farce. The President believes there should be a joint response — to the attacks and destruction, to the disregard of diplomatic efforts, and to the undermining of civilized dialogue.

"President Trump is absolutely right: to unblock diplomacy, effective restrictions on Russian oil and gas trade are needed," he added.

The head of state called for increased sanctions pressure, more weapons supplies for Ukraine, and guarantees that similar invasions cannot occur in the future.

"Lasting peace requires effective and genuine security guarantees. We are working to implement all these components for a reliable peace in the future. I thank all partners who support Ukraine and our people," Zelenskyy stressed.

Attacks on Ukraine

On the night of September 6, the Russian army launched 91 drones of various types at Ukraine. Air defense forces intercepted 68 enemy UAVs. Impacts from 18 strike drones were recorded at eight locations, and debris from downed drones fell in four locations.

Today, the Russian forces targeted railway infrastructure in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, the section near Sloviansk is without power, causing delays for several trains.
