Zelenskyy on strikes against Russian arsenal: We do it thanks to our weapons
Ukrainian forces are striking rear arsenals on Russian territory using domestically produced weapons. This includes attacks on warehouses in the Tver region and Krasnodar Krai, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, precise strikes fundamentally change the situation and bring the war "home to Russia." He also described the arsenal in Tikhoretsk as significant for Russia. Regarding the base in the village of Oktyabrsky (Tver region), it housed storage for tactical missiles and guided bombs.
"Everything that Russia uses for terror against our cities, our positions. And I want to emphasize: we are doing this thanks to our capabilities, our weapons—without the means that partners can provide, that can significantly accelerate the end of this war by destroying Russia's offensive potential," Zelenskyy noted.
He also added that if partners allowed and provided enough missiles for strikes on Russian territory, the situation would improve significantly. These issues will be discussed next week during his trip to the US and meetings with allies.
What is known about the latest strikes
Today, Ukrainian drones attacked two more Russian military arsenals. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Tikhoretsk base was among the three largest ammunition depots and was key to the logistical system of Russian forces. At the time of the strike, there was another echelon on the territory of the arsenal, which delivered at least 2,000 tons of ammunition, including from North Korea.
Additionally, the Security Service of Ukraine targeted the 23rd arsenal in the area of the village of Oktyabrsky in the Tver region. Sources told RBC-Ukraine that it stored artillery and missile weaponry for the Iskander operational-tactical missile systems and Tochka-U tactical missile systems.
Another target of the night attack was the Shaykovka military airfield in the Kaluga region, where TU-22M strategic bombers are stationed. These bombers regularly launch cruise missiles at Ukraine.
