Russia launched missile strikes, drone attacks, and air-dropped bombs on Ukraine overnight on February 1. Ukraine needs more support from its partners, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.

He stated that a missile strike on a residential building in Poltava killed three people and injured ten others, including children. Damage was also reported in Zaporizhzhia, as well as in the Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv regions.

"As of now, six people are known to be injured. In Kharkiv, one person was killed in a drone attack. This Russian strike also claimed the lives of two people in the Sumy region. My condolences to their families and loved ones," the president added.

Zelenskyy emphasized that each Russian attack proves Ukraine needs more support to defend itself against Russian terror.

"Every air defense system, every missile interceptor saves lives. It is crucial that our partners take action, uphold our agreements, and increase pressure on Russia," the president stated.
