Zelenskyy on overnight attack: Russia despises Western efforts, stronger pressure is required

Russia despises Western diplomatic efforts to end the full-scale war. New and significant pressure against the enemy is needed, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports.
Commenting on Russia's overnight attack on Ukraine, Zelenskyy stated that:
- At least 14 drones attacked Kharkiv. The strikes caused injuries, including among three children.
- Drones targeted the Odesa and Sumy regions. In Sumy, a drone hit a power substation.
- In Nikopol, the Dnipropetrovsk region, an artillery strike damaged a power line.
- Nearly 4,000 consumers in two regions were left without electricity.
According to the Ukrainian President, Russian forces also continue bombing Ukraine with aerial bombs. From yesterday until this morning, Russia launched nearly 50 guided aerial bombs on the Sumy region.
"This systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates that Moscow despises the diplomatic efforts of partners. Putin does not even want to ensure a partial ceasefire. What's needed is new and tangible pressure on Russia to put this war on a path toward ending," Zelenskyy added.
The Ukrainian President also emphasized that Kyiv is ready to work with all global partners to achieve lasting peace.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the enemy has regularly shelled Ukrainian territory. Every night, Russian terrorists launch drones, posing a serious threat to civilians. On the night of April 2, Russia attacked Ukraine with 74 drones. Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy 41 of them.
