Russia resumes attacks: Dozens of drones target Ukraine, air defense responses

After a one-day pause, Russia attacked Ukraine with dozens of drones, launching 74 UAVs, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Last night, Russian forces launched drones at Ukraine from three directions - Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda in Crimea. Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces countered the air attack.
Air defense forces shot down 41 drones. Ukrainian air defense operated in the northern, southern, and eastern regions. Furthermore, 20 enemy decoy drones were lost locally without causing any damage.
According to Ukraine's Air Force, the Russian attack affected the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Odesa regions.
On the previous night, April 1, the Russian army did not launch any attack drones against Ukraine. Since the fall of last year, Russia has been conducting almost nightly drone attacks.
Massive strike on Kharkiv
On the night of April 2, Russian troops launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv. According to local authorities, Russia fired around 13 Shahed drones at the city.
Hits were recorded at multiple locations, including an industrial zone. As a result of the attack, private enterprises and residential buildings caught fire.
Eight people were injured in the drone strike, including three children.
