In Kharkiv, work is still ongoing to eliminate the consequences of last night's massive Russian drone attack, which caused large fires due to strikes on civilian enterprises, according to the State Emergency Service.

As emergency responders reported in the morning, strikes were recorded on two civilian enterprises in the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city, where fires broke out in production buildings with areas of 1000, 800, and 70 square meters.

According to preliminary data, eight people were injured in the attack, including three children. The State Emergency Service noted that all of them experienced acute stress reactions.

Additionally, the service reported that nearby private residential buildings were damaged.

"At present, work continues to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack, with 89 rescuers and 29 units of DSNS equipment involved," the service stated.

In addition, canine and pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service (DSNS) have been involved in the response efforts.

"From the city's municipal services, 19 units of equipment and 49 workers are engaged," the emergency responders added.

As reported by the Police of the Kharkiv region, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in response to the Russian shelling.

"There were more than ten explosions in the city. Eight local residents were injured, including a 9-month-old boy, a 7-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl," law enforcement officials stated.

Drone strike on Kharkiv on April 2

Last night, during a drone attack, a series of explosions were heard in Kharkiv. According to local authorities, reports of casualties emerged, with the number increasing over time.

It was reported that all strikes - between 13 and 15 - hit the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv, where large fires also broke out. Additionally, there were reports of an enemy UAV strike on a private house.

Later, the spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Dmytro Chubenko, stated that most of the strikes in Kharkiv targeted the industrial zone, causing fires in warehouses and production facilities.

He also mentioned that due to the strike by a Geran-2 UAV, about 20 private residential buildings were damaged.

In total, reports indicated eight injured individuals, all suffering from acute stress reactions. The victims included four women, a man, a teenage girl, an infant, and a young boy.
