Zelenskyy on ending war: We support diplomacy, but not at cost of 30% of territory
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not against a diplomatic solution to the war, but not at the expense of territories and population.
Zelenskyy says he favors diplomacy but would like to see concrete steps.
“Whenever you are talking about diplomacy, I'm both hands for that. But I would like to see some specific steps. So that it wouldn't be at the cost of 30% of our territory and not at the cost of our population. If there is a plan like that, we're happy,” the President emphasized.
During the same interview, Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to hold a second peace summit in India. But this requires New Delhi to join the communiqué of the first summit, which took place in Switzerland.
“We won't be able to conduct a peace summit in a country who hasn't joined the communiqué of the peace summit at this point. I guess you understand this. Nobody is exerting any pressure, but this is logical,” the President said.
